Hump Day Happiness
I know, I know I’ve been absent a long time… life has been happening, as it sometimes does and I have not had time or energy to blog. I have been working every day, been to Tassie and been unwell. But, I felt it was about time I started hump day happiness again. Although I’ve been flat out, I have a lot to still be thankful for, a lot that made me smile this past week. So without further ado here they are.
1. Going to Tasmania to spend time with my Best Pam. We have been friends since we were 10. That’s a long time! We know each other probably better than we know ourselves. Best Pam managed to find play dates for both her beautiful children and we managed to wander along Salamanca Market and indulge in a leisurely lunch with wine… with no children.
2. Having the chance to be there as best Pam took her baby girl to her first day of kinder… I can still remember the day that little one was born, and now she is a kinder girl! How did that happen? Being there to see this milestone was an honour.
3. Coming home from Tassie and seeing my own beautiful kids waiting to hug me as I walked in the door.
So, what has made you happy this past week?

Nice to have you back, Nomie!
The last week or two has not been great. I’ve been busy, trying to get on top of things, had a couple of really down days, and heard some horrible news of another mum’s child.
I am thankful that I have 3 happy and healthy kids, and a Hubby who can manage my mood swings! I’m thankful for my sister, Cheryl, who is looking after my parents as mum has an operation today, because I can’t be there.
And I’m thankful I have another week ahead of me to find some happiness in!

Good to have you back again. Sounds like you had a lovely time in Tasmania. And in answer to your question, it’s made me very happy to finally have a small window in my day where I have some time by myself. I’ve missed it and I’m glad its back!

I love hump-day-happiness, it’s a great reminder that even in the depths of a working week there can be bright lights to reflect on.
Mine this week: 1; I saw my Nay and her Pam. 2; meeting the new yr7s and making them laugh. 3; being reunited with my beloved yr 8, 9 and 10s and hearing stories both good and sad of their summertime. (and 4; yeah, my daughters cute and husbands supportive, yada yada yada. 5; getting what I asked for on valentines day, namely, time and effort from the boy to help turn a garage into a studio for the frustrated artist. I may never get flowers or dates, but I do get what I need!)

Read Toni’s and you pretty much have mine!
Eating snausage rolls and drinking bubbly with you and Pam
Loving my school kids, my 7’s are wonderful!
Also Toni’s gorgeous daughter who I’m picking up from school, little does she know she is to help me cook biscuits for my school (and take some home)!
Scott, no kitten poo in wrong places yet, blah blah blah
xx

So much to be greatful for this week… despite the HECTIC pace and exhaustion….
1. Hugs, chats, wine time and FUN with my gorgeous Nay (and her beautiful sisters too briefly!). That was the lift I needed to get me back on track.
2. My baby girl heading off to kinder (with my Nay beside me!!!!! BONUS!!!) with confidence and a BIG smile on her face. So gorgeous. So herself. So happy with that. So so proud!
3. Watching my beautiful boy smile and tell jokes and perform slap stick comedy to try and cheer up his tired and emotional little sister at the end of Kinder day 2. Tears to bubbling laughter in 45 seconds. I love my sensitive, thoughtful and loving young man.
*sigh* Life IS good.
Thanks again for the pick-me-up Nay. So sorry you ended up sick tho. Wish I was there to make you soup and help attack your Everest. Soon. I promise.
Oh and we’ll have to do the Magic Beach trek next time. With your gorgeous kids too. Can’t wait xxxxxx
